Aradhana heard the sound of someone knocking on the door. So she tilted her head to see whether the door has locked or not. After confirming that her door is in the lock. She sat in her bed to continue her homework. Aradhana heard the knocking sound again. But this time, it was a bit louder. Keeping her warm feet on the cold floor, she began to walk near the door.  She felt a bit of silence around her. She could sense the pace between her and the door.

When Aradhana was about to open the door, she glanced at herself in the mirror that was beside the door. The knocking sound suddenly became low which made her look at the mirror for a bit long time. Aradhana pulled all her hair and tied it together. Very soon she noticed that her right dangling was missing. Turning around, she checked her table for the missing hearing. The knock grew louder and louder.

The fitful knock made her worry a lot. As she was near the door during the third knock, she sensed her heartbeat was louder than the knock. So Aradhana held her fear back. She unlatched the door slowly. On finding there was nobody behind the door, she locked it again. She sensed something new while returning to the bed, Aradhana heard the knock again. She felt the beat of her heart louder for the second time. Her warm feet turned cold and made her realize her own fear. She moved her pace to the door carefully. Then she peeped her eye through the peephole to check who is at the other end.

The shock of seeing the glowing fire amidst the dark cloud pushed her away from the door. The knock grew louder and louder made her door break, little by little. Witnessing these terrible things she moved a step back. A sudden force from behind pushed her front and the latch broke out from the door as well due to the hard knock. Something appeared before Aradhana’s eyes. Losing her steps in the fright, her body settled on the cold floor. And the knock grew louder and louder into her ear. But a voice overshadowed the knock this time. “Wake up Aradhana, it’s already 9 o’clock in the morning”

After waking up from the horrible dream.  She pushed herself to open the door. Before doing that the mirror near the door captured her attention. She checked herself again and found her right dangling is missing.
