Artists are involved in making schedules for their next workshops online. Schools are engaging themselves in preparing charts for the online classes and timetables of various standard kids. Offices and companies are working on finding new methods to extract work from their employers. College students are filled with assignments. Mothers are busy participating in their kitchen contest with their YouTube account. Fathers are busy writing and playing. Almost everyone is busy during the curfew.
Citizens of the nation are involving themselves in new and different schedules by staying away from the usual work tension. Daily life has been shattered. The morning breakfast, 8 o’clock bus, 9-5 office time, crossing a traffic jam, reaching home, eating and sleeping. Most people gave a pause to that kind of life. Elders, especially grandparents, are feeling happy seeing their family staying under one roof.
The Nation is facing a monetary crisis. Industries are in lockdown, the electricity department is facing huge losses. Once in my geography class, the teacher taught me,
“Transport and communication is a development of society and economy in a trade for a State or City or Country.”
The heart of trade, transportation has been stopped due to the spread of Covid-19. Social media perpetually counteracts the view or the steps taken by the government. The very recent one is, “The Indian government is in the auction list because the Finance Boss has announced that the private sector is taking over many things.” The rest of the places compare Met Gala 2019 vs Hand sanitisers, N95 masks for large production and sale.
The state and central officials of every place are managing to send the money, food, and stay healthy messages to the nook and corner of the world. Kudos to the health minister of TN. He has been running around places to help doctors and people. Many NGO officials are working with proper safety measures to provide food to many people. Grocery for a week or for a month is offered to the people through their mission.
I remember a quote,
“the art of war is of vital importance to the State. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin.”
Here, Sun Tzu talks about the war that happens with guns. War is not just for the military commanders. It is a tool for the state to achieve important goals such as defending the country and influencing others. Similarly, COVID – 19 precautions are not only for the people who have travelled abroad. It is for everyone. This lockdown is for the nation to achieve a healthy life and unity.
Yes, the quote seems to be similar to me with this curfew. It’s from Sun Tzu’s “Art of War.” It is an ancient Chinese military treatise dating from the Late Spring and Autumn Period (roughly 5th century BC). It is often held up as a guideline for how to compete in business in the modern world. The key principles can apply to any competitive situation in human life. There is also a lot of detail about different types of combat. Tzu talks more about preparing a soldier for a psychological situation called, ‘war and war field.’
In his treatise, Sun Tzu expands on the other similar aspects of war. He also gives insight on strategies to win them. Tzu was a Chinese general who specialized in military tactics and strategic warfare. In his most renowned writing, The Art of War, Tzu applies his philosophical background and warfare expertise to devise a compilation of tools that are the key to conquering many wars. The most captivating aspect of this text is that regardless of its age, it still stands as an extremely relevant book today.
In “Nine Contingencies,” Sun Tzu says: “Do not count on the enemy not coming. Depend instead on your side, being prepared to confront him.“ The Indian government emphasizes on its people to wear a mask, wash hands regularly, and keep their distance while walking in public to stay away from Covid-19. Sun Tzu says to maintain a distance from the enemy’s army. Stay away from the river after crossing with the troop. Staying away from the river makes the enemy army plot or kill using manpower instead of making the people drown. Tzu quotes, a warrior knows to stay in hard soil because hard soil makes or creates a healthy situation in the troop. Cold soil or wet soil can affect soldiers with unknown diseases. Spanish Flu spread in the war field of the First World War due to this reason. Did these ideas on the Tzu war go hand in hand with modern medical war or bio war?????
“Sun Tzu said: The control of a large force is the same principle as the control of a few men”
The place may be different. But the rules are the same. These are simple and easy ways to stay away from pandemics. They are common both for large and small cities. The medical warriors are working hard to eradicate the enemy of the world. The world is looking forward to fighting the situation with clever combat and combined medical energy. The combined energy is grasped by individuals who support government measures.
The ‘Art of War’ is a work divided into 13 chapters. Many are specific, such as the use of terrain, the use of spies, and the use of fire. Tzu values deception and confusing the enemy. He also insists on unity and the unity of command, with a strong and patriarchal leader.
The government is asking its followers to eat healthily and stay healthy. This makes me remember Sun Tzu words,
“The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable.’
Sun Tzu uses ‘man’ in the literal sense. We can interpret both men and women who are interested in this. These messages are in simple phrases and quite brief. This text doesn’t talk only about war. The book is applicable to the modern era. They can be useful for various fields. Try reading the text once. It takes only a few minutes.
