A known plot is narrated in a different way.

As we know, Durga(Nayanthara) has lost her eyesight. The movie begins with Durga losing her eyesight and ends with Durga getting it back. The travel between these two is the entire movie.

The movie, which is helmed by Milind Rau, has garnered the attention of audiences much before its release with the promising teaser and trailer. The movie gets into a straight action without any special introduction scene to Lady Superstar. It’s a suspense thriller. We could have guessed it through the trailer and sneak peek. The movie follows the linear narration.

Every suspense thriller will be a cat and mouse game. This movie looks the same. There is no beating around the bush with introducing a villain. That’s another thing to be loved in this movie. The justification of Ajmal’ turning into a villain sounds genuine. The cruelty and brutality of the villain are in the centre and don’t shirk from violence. In sense, the reason is genuine, what he does is absolute crap.

The character flow and arc are well developed as they proceed. The movie takes off in the last 50 mins. The usual suspense movie clues and hooks are thrown before the climax opening. The track is set properly. Between, the movie has stayed parallel with ‘Blind’, a Korean movie released in 2011. Actually, this movie runs parallel with another English movie, ‘Wait Until Dark’. A faithful remake of the Korean movie.

Nayanthara is stunning. Carrying herself in front of the camera is a piece of cake for her. But staying blind with a wide eye is excellent. Emotions are filling her eyes, that’s brilliant. Manikandan is darling. His dream, his flaw looks apt to it. His character flaw helps to build a perfect arc. His final scenes in the movie explain the flaw. Ajmal, this film will stand for him. After Ko and Iravuku Ayiram Kangal, this will stand with him. Saran Shakthi has done his best. His emotional scenes with Nayanthara were melting (to me).

Overall, a known plot is narrated in a different way.
