Ravi stepped over the briefcase without a second thought. “Not my problem,” he muttered, brushing dust from his pants. The street was quiet, too quiet. His footsteps echoed strangely against the walls of the narrow lane, and the night air felt thick, as if it carried an unseen warning.

A few steps later, something unusual caught his eye ahead: a door. Not attached to any wall, not part of a building. It was just standing there, perfectly upright, alone in the middle of the street. Its frame glimmered faintly, as though it had been carved from moonlight. The brass handle gleamed, inviting and unsettling at the same time. Ravi slowed his pace. “What on earth…” he whispered.

Then, from behind him, a flicker of light danced across the pavement. He turned his head. Something bright shimmered a few meters back where he’d walked, a soft, pulsing glow, like a star had fallen and decided to hover in midair. It wasn’t the briefcase; that lay in shadow. This was something else entirely, alive with silent energy.

The door ahead hummed faintly. The bright light behind seemed to beckon him, its glow painting the cracked asphalt in silver. Ravi’s heart pounded. There were two paths and both were unknown. The air around him shifted, like the world itself was waiting.

Would stepping through the mysterious door reveal a hidden truth, or a trap?

What was that bright phenomenon behind him, watching like an unblinking eye?

Ravi swallowed hard. The night held its breath as Ravi hesitated between the two strange sights.

If you were Ravi, which would you investigate first?

Walk toward the mysterious door ahead.

Turn back and investigate the bright light behind.
